NIHR BioResource Centre - London Guy's and St Thomas'

The Guy's and St Thomas’ NIHR BioResource Centre supports the recruitment of participants to rare and common disease research.

At the Guy's and St Thomas' BioResource Centre, we recruit participants for several rare diseases, including renal diseases, genetic disorders, blood conditions, pregnancy disorders and narcolepsy (neurological sleeping disorders).

We also support the recruitment of participants into common disease research, such as inflammatory bowel disease and immune-mediated inflammatory diseases including rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis and lupus.

The Guy’s and St Thomas’ BioResource Centre will continue to seek approval for recruitment to more rare diseases where these patients are attending Guy’s or St Thomas’ Hospitals.

Several of our researchers have also been approved to carry out studies on specific diseases using the data and samples provided by participants to the National BioResource.
