At the NIHR BioResource, our participants are our priority. We are continually looking for ways to improve how we engage with participants and how we can make research more accessible within the wider community.
We are here to help. Please contact us with any queries and also to share good practice and examples of excellence.

Site coding
When a site is approved to recruit to a specific BioResource panel we allocate it a specific site code. These are based on ODS codes already in use by the NHS.
Using the correct code is essential in our processes.
Consent
Informed consent and empowered volunteers are of the utmost importance to the BioResource.
Sample Collections
We have extensive experience in collecting samples, with specific processes in place that help us to do this.

Participants are at the centre of our work
We continually seek ways to improve how we engage with participants and how we can make research more accessible to the wider community.
The Cambridge Nursing Team developed the Volunteer-Centric Model, for which they won an award, to guide research nursing practice. The model also acts as a resource for research groups.
We want participants to feel that we will go the extra mile to make it an easy and positive experience.
For researchers we offer a collaborative approach, focusing on delivery of your study to time with appropriate consideration of resources.
