Summary
The aim of this study is to identify and characterise the effects of the susceptibility genes for type 1 diabetes in order to better understand the earliest events in human physiology that lead to autoimmune destruction of the insulin-producing beta-cells of pancreas. To do this the team will analyse data supplied by the NIHR BioResource.
Organisation: This study was organised by Prof John A. Todd, JDRF/Wellcome Trust Diabetes and Inflammation Laboratory at the University of Cambridge and is situated at the Cambridge Biomedical Campus
