Summary

We are studying the autoimmune disease Type 1 diabetes, and in particular the role of the immune system in causing the inflammation that is part and parcel of this condition. We know that several genetic variations can contribute to disease, but we do not know how.

This study is designed to discover how a particular set of genes contribute to inflammation and Type 1 diabetes.
